With a 100-pound weight capacity each, the chairs’ 13-inch seat height enables children to crawl up and sit easily. The chairs suit children up to age 12.
Made in Thailand, the chairs feature beech wood construction for durability throughout one’s childhood and beyond. The chairs feature standard three-slat ladderbacks for ample back support. The FDA-approved cherry finish enhances the set’s veneer, while also preventing splintering. To clean the chairs, wipe them down with a soft damp cloth and use a mild soap on marks and stains. Dry off immediately to prevent water damage to the wood. The set’s design best befits indoor use. Upon delivery, some assembly is required. The chairs match Lipper International’s 514 and 534 table and chair sets, and are also available in natural, pecan, and white. Each chair measures 13-3/4 by 14-1/2 by 25-1/2 inches. Excellent set. Looks very rich and the chairs are strong enough to support adults very easily. Neat cubbies under the desk top for storing coloring books, etc.
poor craftmanship in hole location and poorer screw quality – euangelion –
These two small wooden chairs are stylish and the wood finish is acceptable, but I could not recommend them to other Amazon customers. The assembly requires proper hole alignment in the seats as well as screws which can be properly torsioned into the holes completely. The hole placement was very bad for the rear seat screw holes on both chairs. I was able to redo the job myself using a drill press (if you have one, I recommend you sink the holes yourself first). I say this because the quality of the screws is so substandard that I would venture to guess that few of these chairs ever assembled actually have the requisite number of properly torsioned screws to make the chairs stable and likely to last. The pity is that such substandard screws (screw heads can break off or the inserts can be rounded) routinely found in similar materials made in Romania 20 years ago, now resurface with the same outcome. For a few cents more per screw, the vendor could offer screws that could be used to overcome the shoddy screw hole placement. Bottom line, if you find this kind of problem a nuisance to deal with, buy something else.

Bought this set to go with the table and 2 chair set we bought for our twin 2 year old granddaughters. sturdy but pretty. Can’t wait to give it to them!
